About the site

Design:

The website’s design, including the logo, is done by me. I love designing websites for myself and playing around in Photoshop and Illustrator. The 2023 logo is a tribute to my Indian heritage.

Development:

The website is powered by WordPress 6.4 and the look and feel is a customized version of the default Twenty Twenty-Four theme.

Technical Details:

• The website is powered by WordPress, of course!
• It is hosted at MDD Hosting. I recommend them to anyone running a WordPress website.
• Jost from Google Fonts is used for the headings and body typeface.
• The following plugins enhance the website functionality:
  • Advanced Custom Fields powers the custom CPT functionality built into the website.
  • ACF Views Lite helps to get the custom field values displayed on the front end – for Testimonials and Projects pages.
  • Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order helps to order the Categories in the blog section.
  • Sucuri Security and Limit Login Attempts Reloaded keeps hackers away.
  • Akismet Anti-Spam keeps spam away.
  • UpdraftPlus aids with regular backups of my website onto the google drive.
  • Smush optimizes the blog post images and lazy loads them.
  • Yoast SEO optimizes the website and blog for SEO, adds metadata for social media sharing, and customizes the RSS feeds.
